I got another email this morning. If your card doesn't work you can send it back within 30 days.

---------------------------------------------

Compatibility: A PC card and computer compatibility list is available
on the website, www.duel-systemsadapters.com, in the Product Support
Section. You may check for compatibility of your cards on-line. Although
we have tested many PCMCIA cards and notebook computers, it is possible
yours may not be listed. If your card is a standard PCMCIA card, 16 or 32
bit, and the card driver runs on Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.4.8, it is highly
likely that your card will work with the DuelAdapter. If the card doesn't
work with the DuelAdapter, you can return the product within 30 days of
purchase for a refund.

Well, when I created this thread on Thursday June 29th 2006 at 2:53 pm, I pretty much had my mind made up already about what interface I wanted to buy. But, I made this thread, and debated the issue endlessly in my head.

I finally broke the lock off my savings account and treated myself to what I wanted!!!

A Multiface II and a brand spankin' new OctaMic II:

I was sort of waiting for my old G5 Power PC dual 1.8 tower to kick the bucket, but the darn thing keeps chugging along, so I spent a couple hundred bucks on a part for a 4 1/2 year old Mac. Yes, I am knocking on wood as I type this:

I went as far as getting the Expresscard too. I don't own a computer yet that it can fit into, but it clears the way for me to get a MacBook Pro when the time is right:

If there's a lesson in any of this... well... I say if you're pretty sure you want something, you have to go for it. The clock is ticking and every moment is precious.

BACK TO THE STUDIO!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!

RME is the Apple of audio interfaces, both in price and fanboyism.

And just like Macs, people somehow manage to make music without using their products.
