which digital download shops are you buying from?

Post by nobbystylus » Fri Mar 09, 2007 8:12 pm

We're starting to distribute via digital downloads at our label u-freqs and i'm interested who most people are buying from. We've kicked off on Stompy and Beatport, but i'm not sure if we're missing out on a hidden gem or two.. any thoughts?

I buy from beatport for my HQ tunes, and iTunes for stuff just for listening. I dont care for BP's wav-handling fees, but the service is ace and I haven't downloaded a bad-sounding MP3 yet.

I second that! It is very cheap if you compare but you won't find as much mainstream - which is no bad thing.

I won't shop at Beatport since they introduced xenophobic pricing (about 75% higher for UK customers; about 30% higher for the rest of the EU).
