I can hit record in a play slot and record all my midi notes just fine, But if i say create a empty 2 bar clip and try to record a live loop in OVERDUB mode only some notes get recorded? I hear all the notes durring the record but not all are printed. It's like a global bar qauntize is on. My record quantize is off.. Any ideas?

Ok it gets more complicated.
Let me explain what i am doing..
I have drum triggers going into a Alesis D5 and the midi out going into Live.
As i said it records everything i do if i just hit record on a clip. But misses most notes in overdub mode..
To make things more messed up if i try the same test with my midi controller keyboard it works fine..
So the only difference i can see is the note duration.
The note length coming out of the D5 is really short. (as it should be it's a drum hit).
My theory-
OVERDUB mode has a bug with recording short note durations.
Can anyone confrim?
