Problems when using ableton live lite as slave for PRotools

I am trying to use ableton as the sampler to record into protools and im using my triton studio as a midi controller.. If i load pt first thne live i i cant use my conttroller directly from ableton if i load ableton first i can but then i cant slave it to pro tools and record in pt.. Im having trouble using my midi controller(triton) to play the wav sample in ableton and record it thru PT..Im not sure if my input/output config is correct but i have tried every single possible way to do it and nothing seems to work..I would believe that I could send the output on my PT midi file to ableton but there is no choice for that just for my sound cards and my triton.. so If anyone has any ideas whats wrong please post feedback thank you
