hmmmm yes indeed
kiwipicker is either an imposter & not from new zealand....
or he doesnt recognise troll bait when he sees it...
whatever

it is something about us new zealanders though
many of us arent huge fans of australia, their culture,
their race relations (see john pilger for comment)
nor their political associations with war mongers...

& many of the kiwis that leave here to live there are probably our effulent
white trash/gold coast wannabes & frankly the more of them that leave
here the better!

holy crap there's some extreme sentiment

and to think I've always been so positive about NZ

8O

I guess that gives an interesting slant on all these debates raging about America and how it's seen from abroad

when you're outside looking in you get a mixed media picture and the negative things might stick out of the cluster

but shit man, after Living in the UK Life here in Queensland seems pretty nice to me now

And the Kiwis I meet here are always really nice people, far from the "white trash" you painted

Dude I know all about John Pilger, are you saying that anyone should avoid living in any country with any kind of negative history or shitty government?

all i am saying is i personally will never live in Australia

& aside from that i was referring to the comment

"New Zealand is lot like Oz but with less Kiwis"

the two countries are VERY different, for many many reasons

You left the wink out of the quote, which I thought would have made it quite obvious it was a joke.

Dont they say when someone emigrates from New Zealand to Australia it raises the average IQ of both nations?

Nah, Flying Nun are owned by Time/Warner these days (having passed through the digestive system of the Murdoch empire on the way), and have been effectively dead as a creative label for maybe 5 years, and coughing up blood for rather longer. I guess the Mint Chicks are OK, if somewhat derivative. Really, Nun's heyday was the 80s and early 90s.
Too true. Actually, dead to me for at least TEN years.

That aside; The Bats, David Kilgour, David Mulcahy(Ex-JPS Exp. now working as Eskimo), Alec Bathgate(1/2 Tall Dwarves) are all STILL making great records.

I'm FINALLY going there(both islands) in October. Can't wait.

If anyone is interested, I'm about to sell all my vinyl, including lots of NZ and FN 7"s, EPs and albums from the 80s and 90s (plus sundry Brit punk/post-punk etc). PM me if interested.
