this is more instructional rather than a live performance.

Very nice. I've been following your progress on the other forum. Nice to see the finished project.

thanks! I plan on adding some other functions later, like being able to sequence banks. and i want to create an accurate envelope midi controller, with x and y zoom functions.

but for now im sick of programming. need to make some music, instead of making tools to make music with.

the price was hard to justify. but as people have developed more and more stuff for them the lemur just keeps on giving back.

I'm glad i took the step and learnt max. its made the lemur much more powerful. i wish you could run max on a lemur! dreaming i know.

there are a few things about the lemur that fall short though, like anything its not perfect. the resolution leaves a bit to be desired. its nothing compared to moving over a wacom tablet. sometimes when you have a heap of fingers on the screen a few pads wont turn on.

and it has a 10-16 ms internal clock which means it isn't good at sending quickly timed sequenced information. but there are workarounds for it - like using max instead.

im sure when the next generation of these things comes out, and maybe some healthy competition these shortcomings will be dealt with, and also a price drop. but for now lemur is king.

Woah! Max on a lemur! That would be awesome. Talk about hands-on programming/patching. I'm still waiting for v.5.0 before I drop the big bucks and purchase the full kit.

well i actually do have a new version working. it has 16 tracks with 2 different view options (for editing in more detail). its also more modular so you could delete a few tracks and drag others around if you wanted to. and it also allows you to sequence each track over intervals up to 16 bar loops, so you can have heaps of variation. but it will be just a little while before its ready for everyone else.
