When I try to render some files, I follow the normal procedure:
-highlight clip, render to desktop etc....
However, when the file appears on the desktop, I try to open the file and it says "Error opening movie". This message appears in a Quicktime window.
I use a Macbook w/ Tiger OSX 10.4.
Note: For these tracks, I have had to copy the original live recording, and paste it below the original. I recorded with only 1 mic on 1 track but used the routing protocol "IN 1/2". To get a stereo feed in my output, I had to copy the track below and send Track 1 to Track 2 and then to master output. Now I have a signal in both earphones, but the file will not render.
If this is too confusing, any insight to my question about the "Error Opening Movie" will sufice.
Thanks A Lot for any Help

the rendered file should be either a Wav or Aiff file, so it is an audio file, not a movie. Maybe the file association on your computer forces to open such files with Quicktime, and quicktime is unable to read it for some reason. Do you have Itunes installed? Can you try to read the file with it?
What options do you choose in the Render dialog?

Re: Rendering Problem
You need to go to Preferences > Audio > Input Config, and enable your Inputs as 1 (mono) & 2 (mono). After that, you will be able to select "IN 1" as the mono input for your mic track when recording.Bisco11 wrote: For these tracks, I have had to copy the original live recording, and paste it below the original. Operator will NOT open
I entered the serial number and everything, but the best I can do is "Hide" Operator.
Everything else is open and working fine. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

This is also a reply to your other Operator thread;
Operator is a separate product which you can buy..
For now you can only use it in demo mode..
