This is possbiy a silly or rather simple question. but it is baffling me to no end. How do you create a simple mono track in Live? The only options that I'm seeing is stereo tracks. I checked my pref. folder to make sure mono in/outs was enabled but this is not reflected in my session/arrngmnt window. What is it that I not doing? Any assistance would be hugely appreciated.

Live's tracks/meters LOOK stereo all the time, even when playing a mono source.
If you enable mono inputs in the Input Config section of Audio Preferences, and then select a mono input source in the track's input selector, you can rest assured that you are recording mono.

Re: Mono audio track in Live
not only aren't you seeing stereo tracks (yes it does look that way, one of the more misleading "features"), but they don't exist in the program. one of my primary feature requests is stereo tracks and support for stereo files, especially in this environment in which track grouping does not exist.lorne1200 wrote:This is possbiy a silly or rather simple question. but it is baffling me to no end.
