How do I create this Filter FX????????????

Post by Crik » Tue Mar 20, 2007 10:31 am

Hello All.

I was listening to Sander Van Doorn's remix of Filterfunk - Message in a Bottle & I was wondering how do I go about creating the filter fx that he used in the track to go in & out of certain parts of the song.

Could someone please tell me how do I go about creating the same fx in any software Cubase SX, Reason, Ableton or FL as I've a track that the fx would go with well. Please can some kind soul help me with this & give me a detailed description with pictures if possible.

Here's a link for an example of what I'm looking for:

on autofilter you drag that yellow ball around. moving it to the right will change the high pass frequency ( pitch will get higher like on the sample you posted)

moving it up and down will make it 'squeak', you will see what i mean

if you think thats good get the DJM800 filter rack from the rack page. High pass and low pass with just 1 dial. awesome.
