My buddy Tom had the same experience. He said they'll take care of you for $50 pretty much most of the time.

But--- another poopy thing MOTU does... When you buy the Traveler it doesn't come with a manual. You have to buy it:

I guess the same goes for the Ultralite + others. Poopy doo. But yeah, MOTU's stuff has always seemed well worth the cash. I've never owned any of their hardware.

Dudes, the Ozonic is cool. Diss M-Audio all you like, but the Ozonic is frickin' cool. Now, the Help section in the Enigma software is written horribly, but that's not uncommon in Computerworld.

The Firebox and Audiofire don't have enough inputs.

On all of the interfaces with multiple inputs, I'm worried about having to set levels in a computer screen in addition to the Live screen. My M-Audio MobilePre works fine for it's few inputs, and I am happy to have level knobs that I can set. The only multiple input interface I've seen with multiple level knobs is the Alesis IO26. I'm inclined to get this one, because it has eight channels and each one has a level control and level meter. I don't need digital programming of levels, and I don't want to have to call up a separate window on the computer to adjust record levels.

Ok my bad. I thought you said at least two mic inputs; both of those do have 2 mic inputs + 2 line inputs.

From what you say it sounds like you want something where you can adjust the gain via a knob on the interface. I don't think I'm helping much here, hope you make a good choice though!
