Have experience with both Pentium4 Laptops + MacBookPro....?

Post by SubLik » Fri Mar 23, 2007 9:00 am

Need advice

Taken a loan want to get some new gear.

I'm thinking about getting a macbook pro 2.33 ghz 2 gb ram next week, & I currently use a Pentium4 3.2 ghz 1gb ram.

Will there be a noticable difference in performance? I'm going to be using Logic & Ableton.

I know getting a Mac Pro (tower) 3ghz 2gb ram will give me better performance, but I'm trying to avoid this as I have little spare time & I'd prefer to be mobile.

but if there's not a huge difference between the performance of the Macbook Pro & P4 Laptop, I would rather go for the Mac Pro (tower) 3ghz 2gb ram & compromise a bit of time for the increased performance.

Advice is much appreciated.

Thanx in advance.

I think yes you will have much beter performance with a macbookpro and Live6 because Live6 supports dualcore prosessors.

Go for at least 2GB as well, if not 3GB. That coupled with dualcore technology, you would definitely notice a difference.
