accessing samples on a network drive

I'm looking to install LIVE on a number of PC workstations at a college, but all the resource samples are on a central server and not stored locally on the workstations, I've tried to get the file browser in LIVE to point to the network drive, but am unable to locate it thru LIVE, has anyone else had this problem or found a solution.

Is the network drive either:
Mapped as a network drive, and set to discoverable, or
Have a shared folder on it, thats set to all users/full access?
