Automation Copying in Arrangment

Help! I have a track recorded in Arrangement view and I want to copy it to another track. When I copy the Clip from Track 1 to Track 2 the Automation I recorded (send FX levels mostly) don't move with it- I've tried using teh Copy Envelope function but that doesn't move the Automation from Track to Track- any suggestions anyone?

Also, I have a Clip recorded on a Track (again in the Arrangment) that I want to move to another Track- it begins about 7/10ths of the way through a Bar but ends exactly at the end of a Bar. Is there any way to get the Clip to snap to the Quantise value of the Project but at it's End point instead of it's Start?

Also, does anyone know how to use the Search in the Forum properly? I don't think I've ever found what I'm looking for when I go to it- what am I doing wrong?

1. Highlight the section with the automation you want to copy.

2. Right-click, choose "copy automation".

3. Click in the track you want to copy to, where the copied automation should start.

4. Paste (Ctrl-v)

Done!

PS IMO Search is basically useless

Thanks for the help but.....it doesn't work- it only works if you are trying to copy Automation on the same Track (ie copy a piece of Automation from Bar 5 to Bar 13 on the same track). If you try and copy the Automation from Track 1 to Track to, it doesn't work.

that's odd, it's working fine here!?

not exactly sure what you're asking here, but you can change the start and end points of playback within a clip (irrespective of the loop position) using the little triangles above the clips wave view - does that help at all?

Search works for me fine, I use it ALL the time.

Here's a key point... make sure that if you are searching for more than one word... Like "Midi Controller" or "Copying Automation" that you click Search For All Terms. (located right under the place you bar you type your search words in).
