Sorry to say it, but I think Reaktor is already dead. thanks to NI...iamnotcool wrote:I smell a Reaktor killer in the works...though that's only my worthless speculation.

The audio gods are smiling, I can not wait to see what comes of
this collaboration. Cycling74 could definitely learn a thing or two from
Ableton on how to create software that is intuitive and easy to use.
Cycling74 of course brings the freedom to customize and build whatever
you want. Oh the anticipation...

Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

seriosuly, i've only had feeble attempts at max/msp, but have seen many amazing things done with it, that it's always made me want to come back and really get a grip on it...apalomba wrote:The audio gods are smiling, I can not wait to see what comes of

hopefully the 2 companies can really blend their technologies together and still have it very user friendly, for anyone who has never seen either software...

lets keep in mind that ableton has been "partners" with M-Audio in the past.
And what did that result in? A really bitching, integrated, live controller that interfaced seamlessly with live?
No, it resulted in Live Lite versions included in every crappy m-audio controller box
(which, granted was great for anyone who got into live because of one)
I'm not trying to be negative, I would LOVE for this to result in some sort of hybrid integration between the two products. And i'm sure on some level it will, but i'll hold my speculation till we see if this is anything more than a business relationship.

Blasphemy you say, I am afraid it is the truth. NI has lost its way, withnoisetonepause wrote:Gallileo style...defmut wrote:Blasphemy!apalomba wrote: Sorry to say it, but I think Reaktor is already dead. thanks to NI...
Kore and Kontrol and blah blah blah. Reaktor has really suffered and
I feel is slowly loosing its cutting edge. I hope NI has something
significant to reveal at Musikmesse so that I may be proven wrong.
