I realize that Ableton Live isn't the best software for doing time signature changes. I basically figured out how to deal with it--even though it's not that good a method--if you have basically one section of the song in one time signature and another in another time signature. You just change the global time signature every time you're doing a clip that needs to be in a different one, and in arrangement view pretty much just ignore the global time signature and just worry about putting the clips where they belong.
The problem is if you need to do something more complicated with time signatures. Like if you just have one bar that goes into a different signature, or you have a section with lots of changing time signatures. It doesn't seem like it's set up to let you do that. I'm doing something where I have one clip that itself needs to have changing time signatures. Does anyone know of a program that makes doing that easier? Like one where you can just say, ok there's gonna be one extra beat at the end of this bar and then it's gonna keep going normally after that. I've only tried Ableton Live so I don't know if there are programs that let you do that. And of course, if there's some secret method of doing that in Live, let me know, but I doubt there is.
