Post by urmyuk1 » Thu Mar 29, 2007 8:12 pm

i want to load up loads of clips in Live and use one knob to scroll up and down and another left and right, then use a single button to trigger which ever clip the XnY is on.

is this possible ??

Yes.

But you'll need Bome's MIDI Translator (or whatever the Mac equivalent is) to generate key presses from MIDI messages (for "left" and "right" and "enter" at least). And ideally you'll want rotary encoders in relative mode rather than knobs in absolute mode (although that's not essential if you have less than 127 tracks / scenes).

That'd work to. And you could do that without Bome's. Map a rotary encoder to the scene select, and buttons to each track (and/or each track's play button).
