mac os problem

i put my computer to sleep last night, woke up and certain settings and software were deactivated. bookmarks, live 5, reason, itunes all need to be reconfigured/re-installed. documents and files are still there and my dock is still the same. rebooted and nothing noticeable happened but wallpaper went back to standard os x blue "waves". havent done anything too unusual except add ram a month ago. im scared:( if you can help in anyway it would really be

what laptop/ version of os you running?
