on the verge of buying a maudio 410
but i read through some posts now im not sure what to do
i dont have a big budget .

stay away from those things they are seriously bad for your mental well being!
the drivers are useless, and so is maudio tech support.
if u have a tight budget, i havent tried one, but i hear good things of presonus? http://www.presonus.com/

They likely work fine for most people, but I've heard too many horror stories of them not working to chance it.

I've been using one since they first came out 3 and a bit years ago and I have never had any problems which were it's afault (only the fault of my dodgy old windows laptop).
I've used it for studio stuff, mobile recording and Live and it's always been fine.
Just thought I'd give a vote of confidence as many ppl seem to complain about these units.

the only thing with the Mackie Onyx Satellite is the price drop may mean it will be discontinued when they sell the stock they have.
its such a hard decision what to get with firewire everybody says something different wish i wasnt a newbie on firewire oh well i think i will just sit tight for a little while longer and see what happens.
