what are ur fav 909 and 808 kits?

helloz

what kits do people here think is the shiznit for 909 and 808 samples.

ive fiddled with that guru program and bought some samples over the years, also been demoes utonic and rm1v, none of them have particularly sold me on a deep punchy kick with presence and low end like a 909 has.

and the pecussive sounds from the 808 and 909 and how the tails and variations of each time the sound is generated isnt really matched in the software ive come across.

any other leads?

still have to find satisfactory samples.
I have in any case the real 909 and a studio mate has the real 808, and even if we did our sample kits direct from the machines, I alwyas end up re-sampling the sound for each track, so that I can tweak them instantly.
We have to do with some noise coming out from the gear, tho.

my favorite 808 is the one that bustss a whole in the woofer and the back of someone's head alll in one fell swoop

I use the drumazon these days, but I use Battery 3's 808 and CR78 samples in impulse.
