OK after some experimentation...it's not possible to insert time signature changes in LIVE 5..don't know about 6. Man, this stinks, i could do this with my 20 year old Atari sequencer !!!...Live is good in some area but really archaic in others...
There are some work around but none of them actually works for me. I need to trigger the tap tempo for these songs so putting the signature to 1/4 instead of 4/4 won't work.

You only need to worry about the sig if it's looping right? So make the 7/8 clip as long as you need, record it as an audio file, then bring it back in as a one shot audio clip.

I think that would work... though it's not as flexible as what you are looking to do.

I can't wait until 7. that's way too long for music software to not support the majority of music ever written
Why wait till version 7? Why not one of the upgrades for version 6 users? Maybe version 6.0.6?

I don't think I want to pay $200+ for version 7 just to get that feature working...

Hey thanks everybody. I haven't checked in on this in a while as I was pretty frustrated with live and have been focusing on playing music the old fashioned way (w/ instruments). I wonder if the decision to leave out this feature is part of some planned obsolescence strategy of software development. Thanks for the 1/4 time sig. trick, I think that will solve some of my issues for now. Hope to see this feature added soon.
