Time change? Please help!

So I imported MIDI drums from another program and there is a key change in the song that I wish to apply without manually doing it. I have the complete drums but there is about 16 measures that need to be changed from 4/4 to 6/8. Is there any way I can change those 16 measures to 6/8 while keeping the same 4/4 time the rest of the song? Please help!

I wonder if it could be done with a combination of tempo automation, MIDI note stretching, and math?

(There is currently no way to automate time signature changes)
