Noob Rendering question: HELP

In ableton, my kick drum sounds nice and fat and deep. But when i render my song to disk, and play it in itunes as a wavform, it becomes totally flat and loses that "kick".

i've compressed the hell out of the kick, so much that the volume bar reaches fully red, but when in the waveform format, it just doesnt sound the same.

I render at 16/44, but even if i do 24/96, the kick is still flat.

Can someone help me out? Maybe I'm missing out on a crucial VST plugin that would be the solution?

i think i tunes destroys the sound a little bit. not sure though. Try opening it with quick time and see if it sounds the same. if you drop the rendered file back in live does it still sound bad?
