REAKTOR help - midi mapping snapshots in Live 6

Post by premodea » Fri Apr 13, 2007 8:20 pm

In Reaktor 5, I'm using the LimeLight.ens from ElectronicInstruments2. I've created various snapshot instances of my rhythm and would like to trigger them via my midi keyboard in Live 6. Is this possible, and if so, how?

In a perfect world it would be awesome to just trigger the snapshot order through my numeric keyboard in Live. Actually, I would prefer that. Can it be done? Normal mapping procedures in Live suggest otherwise.

Ultimately, my plan would be to trigger the snapshots through the recorded input (whether it comes from the numeric keyboard or midi-keyboard), then overdub the sequence so I can go back and automate individual settings for each snapshot in LimeLight.

yes, you can do this. In Live, create several empty midi clips on your limelight track, and set them to transmit program changes for the different programs you want to trigger. Then assign computer keys to each of them.

I hope this helps, and consult your Reaktor/Live manuals for any particulars.
