LTreeRowManager - whats that ?

Post by leandro » Sat Apr 14, 2007 4:13 pm

hi,
live is taking a long time to load... i already tried formating my HDD, deleting my prefernces.cfg file, defragmenting the hdd, moving my vst folder and disconnecting my sound card... nothing seems to work...

i just checked the log.txt and found out where is that the problem happens:

2304 ms. LTreeRowManager: Begin Init
2305 ms. LTreeRowManager: End Init
2310 ms. LTreeRowManager: Begin Init
2316 ms. LTreeRowManager: End Init
2318 ms. LTreeRowManager: Begin Init
2319 ms. LTreeRowManager: End Init
2320 ms. LTreeRowManager: Begin Init
128446 ms. LTreeRowManager: End Init

128447 ms. LTreeRowManager: Begin Init
128485 ms. LTreeRowManager: End Init
128485 ms. LTreeRowManager: Begin Init
128486 ms. LTreeRowManager: End Init

-------------------another log-------------------
9672 ms. LTreeRowManager: Begin Init
136009 ms. LTreeRowManager: End Init

-------------------another log-------------------
2218 ms. LTreeRowManager: Begin Init
65283 ms. LTreeRowManager: End Init

it always happens at the beggining of the 4th LTreeRowManager, but i dont really know what does "LTreeRowManager" means so i can start fixing this...

btw... this happens only in my PC...

any help will be much apreciated :)
thanks

ableton support has helped me with this.... im gonna explain the problem just in case that someone needs this in the future... this is what i got from the support:

The treerow represents components of the file browser, In your case, the second file browser creates a delay. Please open Live, click on the "2" in the Live browser and check where it is pointed to. Maybe it is a CD-Rom or network drive. On Startup Live will scan this directory and possibly get delayed if there is a problem in this location.

so i checked the "2", and it was pointed to my desktop... over there, i have 2 network shortcuts that i use to get into my mac... the thing is, that my mac is not always on, so if i double click on some of that shortcuts, it takes around 1 minute till it says that there is nothing connected to that IP....
live was trying to read both shortcuts, and that was delaying everything...

hope this helps to anyone... and thnx to the support !
