It is not possible to install the EIC to an external HD! Why is that? Are yo kidding? 12 GB of Sounds and I should store it on my internal HD of my old Powerbook???

It is possible.
Select all the EIC presets, make a livepack and install it on external HD.
Then remove the EIC you installed from the preferences in Live.

- make a new project
- drag all EIC presets in the "current project" folder
- Manage project and collect all samples
- place the project anywhere you want on your hd
- Load presets from the project folder. (bookmark it)
the only problem is knowing which presets are actually part of the EIC.

This is what it is about.
And what u told me is mainly a workaround. IMHO it is absolutely unacceptable that Abelton doesn't provide to install EIC on an external HD. I mean thats not a big deal Ableton (also groove quantization, crossfades etc. ..) !!
