cool new feature. but with this i can go to 80% and no problem at all. only with the tons of tracks i have and when it's over 70% will it freak out and drop sound on random tracks.

It is easier to use a Simpler preset, as it will respond to all notes. You should be able to get sound right?
What are these clips that contain a MIDI clip but no device? Are they from the Ableton Library, or did you download them somewhere else?
You should also update to 6.0.7.

Well, a screenshot is most helpful! See at the bottom of the interface, the status bar is orange, and says that samples are missing. So, I guess that the packs are not properly installed somehow.
Go to the Preferences, Live pack tab. Select 'Live 6 Basics', and click 'uninstall'. After that, select 'search for more Live packs', and click the 'search' button. The 'Live 6 Basics' will be listed again, as 'not installed'. Select it and click the 'install' button.
Let me know if that helps.

hi Amaury, thanks for putting up with me for start heh
i've been playing with ableton live pretty much all day, being a noobie the only way i can describe my problem at the moment is; for example I have some beats going and a bass line and what not and I decide to go though some of the built in clips from the ableton library. I go down the list one by one, I'll eventually get to a group of clips that contain no sound, heres a quick screenshot i took for visual aid. This is random example of what I've been getting. I go down the list playing each clip while my music is playing, its great untill I get to he clips in the red square...they dont make a sound.

I'd say about 40/50% of the files are doing this.

Hehe, well. I went to Live Packs tab to find it not there, so I do a search, when the search is done it just appears in the list, I don't install anything. So i try it out and the same clips dont work, bah. So I think, try closing it, so I did and went back and the Live Pack had dissapeared so I did a new search and it just appeared in the list again and the same clips still didn't work. I also tried to uninstall the Live Pack but it said that it could becuase the clips were still in use, whem they were clearly not
So I just upgraded my Live and it did the trick.
