Selecting a track without a mouse?

Post by threesixty » Thu Apr 26, 2007 11:26 am

Is there anyway you can highlight a track without using the mouse?

i.e. can I use arrow keys left and right to highlight a track and R to record.

Furthermore, can you record enable the selected track from a keyboard or midi control? Allegedly my m-audio keyboard is meant to be able to arm record by using button 9 (the button under the master fader) but it doesnt work.

Can I set a default amount of bars for a midi clip? (I want a 4 bar midi clip and have to keep adjusting the parameters everytime I insert one).

Can I insert a midi clip on a selected track without using the mouse? (i.e. keyboard shortcut or midi controller).

I want to be able to record a track and move to a next track without using the mouse (just like you do in Logic Pro or on an MPC).

anyone?

you can map midi and keystrokes to the track headers. go to map mode.
and i think theres a switch in preferences which will automatically arm the track you select. that should do it.
