imic defaults to 8-bit

hey all,

i've found that when i use live with an imic (x.3.3 but had similar issues with previous x's), it defaults to 8-bit out. i'll set it to 2 channel/16-bit output in os x's audio/midi setup, but then when i start up live it defaults back to 8-bit, leaving nasty digital tails on my reverbs. anyone figure this out?

could be an osx problem rather than a Live thing since it happens with arturia's moog modular and roxio's toast app too. it's still annoying though.
