I saw these guys down the road from my house last summer. I get goosebumps everytime I watch it. The quality isn't so good cos its off my phone, but watch it even if its just to see the skinny white boy busting some moves.

I must say though that it seems like beatboxers do things with rhythm and timing changes that most electronic musicians never even try. which is awesome cause they are actually doing rhymic things with their mouth which most people probably couldn't even program correctly.

i find that to make a lot of sense, actually. It's a lot easier for me at least to (poorly) beatbox whatever beats I have in my head than to program them, because the latter totally requires translation from [head-sound] to [drum-notation]Johnisfaster wrote:I must say though that it seems like beatboxers do things with rhythm and timing changes that most electronic musicians never even try. which is awesome cause they are actually doing rhymic things with their mouth which most people probably couldn't even program correctly.
A bit of a rant here, but why do beatboxers copy each other so much?!? I've heard "Seven Nation Army" beatboxed by so many people, I can't remember who did it first anymore...

I hear you about the 7 nation army thing, I'm thinking they all do it just cause the bassline is so recignisable, there aren't a whole lot of basslines you can beatbox and do the beat at the same time I'm thinking especially not ones that would be recignisable.
