I am building a DIY lemur controller and I need your advice. This control unit will have 2 channels for bass for each lcd screen. then all of all of the complex panning arrangement will be fed into the lemur filter. mostly using autopan plugin for good engineering
There will also be 2 channel arpaggregators for real live ableton manpulation. according to the synthesizer website, this has to be set at 50. Is this correct?
I want to make this controller out of electronic parts but i hear that many people think the jazz lemur is the best thing for what i want. Many of my colleagues here are laughing at me but I know what I'm doing.
My question then is this: can i have real live manipulation of the panning controls and bass at the same time? How much bass do I use coming from the controller? During my Live Ableton and Lemur I'm really worried about the bass. So maybe I need samples of this too in case of hard drive failure?
But before I am commited to this i want to get into technical. For one, do I need to have someone running the mixer on this?
For two, is there an LCD screen that can sync directly with the filter or automapping arpaaggregators?
For three, can i make the controller with strings. If so, guitar string? basses strings?
