simple question

Post by fumanchu » Mon Apr 30, 2007 1:29 am

I just started with LIVE. Would someone be so kind to tell me what is the easiest way to record via resampling a clip lets say exactly 4 bars. Thank you very much.

Set the new clip's track input to 'resampling'

Set the global quantize to 4 bars.

Arm the new track

hit a clip slot record button. recording begins.

Hit the same button again... starts looping after 4 bars.

or

Hit the track stop button (middle, near the little pie/ timer display thingy)... stops after 4 bars.

thank you. is there also a way to do the following:
let's say I arm a midi track and audio resampling track and I would like that the audio resampling track starts recording exactly 4 bars from my first midi note. Again thank you

Wouldn't it just be easier to record the resampling and then move the start position of the recorded track to where you want it? In this case 4 bars after beginning the recording.
