VISTA with MOTU ultralite, audio lost when GUI moved...

I am using live 6.0.7 in demo mode on an HP dv9000 with 2GB RAM and T7200 core 2 duo processor running Vista Home Premium (32bit), with two 100GB 7200 RPM HDs.

I have had no problems with a few simple sets using the internal sound card. I have had problems using the MOTU Ultralite with the latest drivers. Here's what happens:

Some initial "pops" when loading the first clip-- not readily reporduced.

Loss of audio when resizing the clip edit window. Reproduced by dropping in impulse, starting to draw a beat, then resizing clip window while running. Happens when track armed or not. Severe audio loss, does not recover unless interface is powered down.

[update] this also happens with ASIO4ALL with the MOTU. No issues with the internal sound card.

Get rid of Vista!

vista is simply not ready for pro audio applications
