First things first. No name, no groupies. It's the first thing they need to know....

Hmm... interesting project. I could be interested... been playing guitar for 20 years. I can play rock, blues, metal, funk, a bit of jazz... influences, Steve Vai, Bjork, NIN, Massive Attack, Joe Satriani. I've got my guitars, a POD, Live 5 and a m-audio 410. If you guys still got this going, and would like another guitar dude in there, please let me know at sergiom att maxtd dott com. I don't come here that often. Thanks!

Toonman, the only problem I see is that most of us are probably on Live 6, and since project files are not backwards compatible, you might not be able to contribute later in the chain. Perhaps you can put together a sketch, and then pass along to someone else? Or in the alternative, do the $100 upgrade? :)

There's been a lot of interest, but only a handful of PMs to me. Again, I need:

1. Your email address
2. Your time zone and location
3. Your availability

I'll send out an email tomorrow to everyone who has signed up with some of my initial ideas. Thanks.

I'll include you in the email, but just so we're clear, I'd like this to be predominantly a guitar/rock project. Check you email.

I'm in!
Epiphone Les Paul copy, a nice classical, a decent steel-string acoustic, Fender mexican p-bass, and a good tube amp. I don't have a good mic for the classical, unfortunately...just sm-57 and -58.

Influences...Jerry Garcia, James Hetfield, noise guitar (flying saucer attack, sonic youth, glenn branca), Ronald Jones (Transmissions/Clouds-era Flaming Lips guitarist).

Also interested in extreme digital manipulation of guitar, and backwards loop-based guitar ala Line 6 delay pedal stylie!

i think this idea is actually quite intresting, but if you'll humor my thought process, isn't this approach ultimately going to be the reverse evolution of Industrial music?

i guess it's new if it's an old idea backwards.

good luck, as long as it doesn't end up sounding like linkin park i'm in full support of you efforts.

Linkin Park ain't too bad...I like a lot of their guitar sounds, as well as cool beats. It's the silly rapper-wanna-be-suburban-whiteboy stuff I don't do well with :)
