I dunno man,
I was honestly thinking along those lines, out of principle more than anything ....but in retrospect it was a good idea.

my cat caught fleas from the same vetinary office another time.....again after paying for an expensive procedure (his amputated stump got infected)....so I told the guy, and he gave me a discount on flea-juice...but his whore secretary charged me full whack....heh, you cant win with these guys. sparklepuff is on the money, fuck vets

Another point I make to myself, is how many sick or wounded animals in the wild march themselves down to a vet when they don't feel so well? None.

I just paid out over $4500 for my cats cancer surgery. She didn't ask to live in an environment where cancer is a risk, and I consider it my responsibility to do what's best for her. That can include putting her down if there is little hope, or compromised existence.

Been pretty lucky with the vets in that they have asked what I'm willing and not willing to do.

Anyway, I like animals better than most people, so I'm all for taking care of them if you so choose to. Can't stand people who do things like get rid of a cat because the don't want the responsibility any more.

I'm pretty sure there was cancer on the planet long before people ever did anything to the environment. though I can't back that up and no one else could either of course but I think your cat was likely to catch cancer in the woods just as much as in your house.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

thats exactly how i felt.i couldnt put him down after he had been through so much pain.i would not let him go down like that.the thought of him just getting a shot and going to sleep forever just isnt right.maybe if he was 18 years old it would be a different story, but he just turned two.fuck it.its only money.i was with a so called friend tonight and he laughed about the whole sitution and joked how i could have paid him 100 bucks and i would have never seen the cat again.needless to say he is no longer my friend and i told him he was white trash and to fuck off.i wouldnt even let him give me a ride home from this sushi restaraunt we had gone for dinner.i had to make a phone call to my ex girl friend to pick me up cause of this fucking prick.fucking asshole!!!! PIECE OF SHIT WHITE TRASH CUNT.

Good work. I'm proud of you. Only reason why my lady and I don't have pets is because I can't afford the vet bills. First student loans, then pets.

You have cancer right now, every living organism has a few errant cells, it's irritants and contaminants that cause a creature that otherwise would not generate more than a few to generate tens of thousands and get cancer. That, my friend is a by product of our technological society.
things like being encased in an electrical field, eating pesticide laden food, and breathing air that has a higher concentration of pollution etc. all this adds up to the higher cancer rates we see in the post industrial age. of course just like the cigarette companies, there are powerful people with a vested interest in keeping environmental regulations loose.

Point is I adopt a cat, I choose to keep us in the industrial part of town, and even smoked around her for her first few years, then I need to take responsibility for her care when she suffers the consequences of my behavior. It's the right thing to do I think.

You did the right thing man, I hope your cat is feeling better soon. I don't trust people that don't understand and respect how a human and an animal can become close. Your ex-friend can go suck a *#$%. The pets that I have had have always been and always will be part of my family.

I don't know how much you've studied cancer but I'm pretty damn sure not everyone has cancerous cells just running around their body at all times. I could be wrong about that but I've had lengthy discussions about cancer with my fiance who is in her 3rd year of nursing school ( I know shes not an expert or anything ) but I have a mild understanding of how it works. Though like I said I could be wrong about that.

though I won't really argue about what you feel is right to do. I'm just one of those jerks who thinks "it's just a cat" even though I care about my cat and would be upset about it the thought of spending thousands on surgery for it is like "are you kidding? he's just a cat"

Wow man, You really must love your cat. I think your friend may have just been joking.
In Australia cats destroy our native wildlife like nothing else. They are just too good at what they do. Sorta like sharks on land.
Hey, gotta respect their will and ability to survive. Pitty our native wildlife can't fight back too well.

I hope your cat gets better soon.

Have you sold anything yet?

Dude, maybe you should not overreact... it`s a friggin CAT, man!
Maybe you should go out meet some nice girls/boys (what you like better) and then start to make some kittens, literally!

Get over it, after all you have to pay the Vet, but hey:
I am PIECE OF SHIT WHITE TRASH CUNT and say get yourself some human friends, at least they live as long as you do, most of the time.
