Hello,
I thought there was a way to sync the tempo with a audio clip - is this true or am I just dreaming? By this I mean I have a recorded a free short guitar track and I want to use that tempo for everything else, i.e. impulse and simpler. When I record the track, though, Live thinks it's in 120bpm, but it's not. I thought maybe Live 5 (I'm using 6 now) was able to do it, but I could be completely wrong. I could try to use the tap button but then it changes the assumed tempo of the clip (120bpm) and warps it.
I know how get around this otherwise, but I seriously thought there was a way to do this. Thanks in advance for helping.

You have to do it the other way around:
Warp your clip by hand. You will then see the original tempo of the clip in the clip properties box. Now you can adjust the master tempo of Live to that of the clip (or any other tempo) and everything will play in sync.

You can have the set follow the tempo of the clip -
Warp it as usual...
Then set it as Warp Master in the Arrangement view

Hello,
Okay. Thanks a lot. A little feature like this would help though...
