I think what was meant was that the serial number would possibly be required to download the initial live 4 beta. however, there does seem to be some unintelligable potty talk in there as well...loophead wrote:grg wrote

perhaps ableton will do do because of the new serialencryption.
that might imaginable.."
Even after a strong cup of coffee I can't make heads or tails of this particular string of words.
Guten Morgen herr GRG ausfullen das blanks bitte !

stop taking so much coffee to keep yourself up and give you an edge getting into the beta... that's like cheating man!

Yeah but if that was the case , they would not be so close on selling Live 4 in July..Ableton does not do stuff like Native Instruments.Anonymous wrote:i believe they maybe found more problems in dealing whit vsti that they were expecting, we all know how other aplications sometimes go completelly nuts whit a simple vsti,.. and Live is just getting in touch whit them..
Like announce the version upgrade on June 3rd for an August release, then actually release it on February 15th of the following year?claudek wrote:Yeah but if that was the case , they would not be so close on selling Live 4 in July..Ableton does not do stuff like Native Instruments.Anonymous wrote:i believe they maybe found more problems in dealing whit vsti that they were expecting, we all know how other aplications sometimes go completelly nuts whit a simple vsti,.. and Live is just getting in touch whit them..
Then not work until update that comes out a year later (like Reaktor 4 blues)Midigator wrote:Like announce the version upgrade on June 3rd for an August release, then actually release it on February 15th of the following year?claudek wrote:Yeah but if that was the case , they would not be so close on selling Live 4 in July..Ableton does not do stuff like Native Instruments.Anonymous wrote:i believe they maybe found more problems in dealing whit vsti that they were expecting, we all know how other aplications sometimes go completelly nuts whit a simple vsti,.. and Live is just getting in touch whit them..

I am not an NI customer myself, but I had heard some rumblings about this fiasco on the Steinberg forum. Does someone want to cough up the details. Not that it has any bearing on anything relevant, just more my curiosity.Midigator wrote:Like announce the version upgrade on June 3rd for an August release, then actually release it on February 15th of the following year?claudek wrote:Yeah but if that was the case , they would not be so close on selling Live 4 in July..Ableton does not do stuff like Native Instruments.Anonymous wrote:i believe they maybe found more problems in dealing whit vsti that they were expecting, we all know how other aplications sometimes go completelly nuts whit a simple vsti,.. and Live is just getting in touch whit them..
If my memory serves me correctly, I paid for an Absynth update that was scheduled to be released in August and it came out about 6 months late.rictheobscene wrote:I am not an NI customer myself, but I had heard some rumblings about this fiasco on the Steinberg forum. It wasn't their fault as the developer is independant (and brilliant), but the PR was handled rather poorly. NI is still a great company!

I see
Yeah, I have pondered adding Traktor DJ to my rig, but anything I have been able to do thus far with Traktor DJ, I have been able to do with Live, but I am still playing with the demo. It is good to know that it was just a PR fiasco. PR fiascos, albeit inconvenient and disheartening, are usually forgiven (but never forgotten
) if the delivered product makes good on its claim.
