Need help with Axiom

Post by bimbis » Fri May 04, 2007 8:19 am

hello guys,

i have one little problem with my axiom 49. I bought it used, but it is in mint condition with one problem... previous owner changed rotory encoders all default Control Assignments and i need to change to original ones, but i don't know what defalut numbers are for them, so i'm asking for help who has axiom 49 and can tell me that numbers. You just need turn rotory knob and push Ctrl
Assign button and paste here those numbers from LCD.

Thanks in advance

Sadly I already changed it myself but I guess if you download 'enigma' software you can restore to company default..

Now i have another problem(i found those nubers)... now i can control all ableton devices with rotory encoders(maps automatically), but parameters are jumping.. sometimes i need to turn half encoder to start moving parameter, when i map those encoders to 3d party vst plugin evertyhing works fine. And i don't know what to do :(

Have you checked out the manual from M-Audio? I bet there is a way to completely reset the Axiom to factory defaults.

As for the encoders acting strange...have you downloaded the Axiom tutorial from Ableton? It seems to set up those controllers very well for most users needs.

I think there is a way to reset to factory defaults. I don't have the manual for my axiom with me, but I think it's something like "hold down the "+" and "-" keys simultaneously while powering up.

I could be wrong...

This, from the manual:

2.4.4 Reset

It is possible to completely reset your keyboard at any time. To do this, turn the Axiom off and then press and hold down both of
the -/+ buttons as you power up the keyboard.

Important Note: When you perform this reset, all of the factory presets are lost. To restore the factory presets, please use the
Enigma software, available as a free download at www.m-audio.com.
