I was being sarcastic man no worries. I just hate digging through presets and watching my cpu hit 75 percent for playing a chord. I'm sure I could change the quality and polyphony settings but it just really turns me off of the plug, I only demo'd it though.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

It's 8) - There should be a sarcastic emoticon. I don't know what Massive you tried but the first release was a bit buggy in my experience. The latest update seems to have fixed a lot. :)

hey John, where did you see absynth 4 for $149?

Thanks!
Dominique

from what I've heard most people love massive, though it does require a ton of cpu so if you're computer isn't up to snuff I would almost suggest passing on massive.

don't know anything about kontrol though.

Thanks everybody for your pearls of wisdom. It's good to know some people are actually using Kontrol and for the most part there aren't any complaints, well any more so than other interfaces.

I've heard good things about Massive too but I wasn't about to run out and get it. The main thing was it comes free with Kontrol through audiomidi. But it's not exactly instantly free. You still have to pay full price and than send in a !00% rebate coupon.

I'm still undecided but have until this Thursday when the deal expires. I'm contemplating actually paying some bills this paycheck. Being an adult sucks!

I opened up the PDF with the rebate form for massive, and it looks like the offer expires May 18th, not May 10th.

I'm in the East Bay - it's nice to see a synth-head and Abletonian from the south bay :)

Thanks,
Dominique

You lucky bastard adidasguy. Glad somebody got to take advantage of the deal. Things look bleak on my end since I had a couple group buys end and a couple backordered items from other sites finally arrive. It should feel like Christmas but now I can't afford this deal. Wwwwaaahhh!!

So with what you are saying I guess you have to buy the interface by the 10th and then have to pay for Massive by the 18th. I don't think I can squeak out $550 in the next week but I'll probably still get Kontrol at some point and the way things are swinging for NI I'm sure there will be more insane deals on their synths. "By an NI hat and we'll throw in Absynth 4".

And yeah, good to know there are other Ableton users out there in the Bay Area. Hm, you are East Bay, so I mean Yay Area. I think we are all a little too spread out though. This is why I am looking to move to SF. Maybe I should try to start an Ableton user only household.

audiomidi.com extended this deal another week if anybody else wants to jump on it. It looks like a couple people on here already did.

I already had Absynth so I got this package which qualified me for the NI Synthmania deal which means I got the Audio Kontrol, Massive, FM8, headphones and a mic for $249!!!

NI has tried my patience in the past but they're definitely in my good graces at the moment.
