impulse and simpler bug maybe (sample rate issue)

so I drop a wav into an audio track and then open it in my wav editor, make some edits and then save and go back and it sounds fine. but if I drop a wav into simpler or impulse and then open it in my wav editor from there and edit it and save it and go back into live the pitch is off. maybe a sample conversion issue or something but I'm not quite sure what I need to do to fix it.

the pitch ends up being lower in impulse and simpler than the pitch I hear in peak

bug or samplerate conversion issue?
