No multicore support running Windows in Macbook Pro

Post by Darin Epsilon » Mon May 07, 2007 3:19 am

I just recently installed Windows XP Home Edition on my Macbook Pro, via a program called Parallels. I needed to run windows to get all my vst's to work, since half of them aren't compatible with mac.

My Macbook Pro is Intel Core 2 Duo with 2.33 GHz and 3 GB RAM. I find a strange problem when trying to enable multicore/multiprocessor support. The options are grayed out.

I guess the problem might arise from the virtual drive I had to create to run windows on mac. I noticed my system specs from the windows side now say Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU, T7600 @ 2.33 GHz, 2.25 GHz, 1.46 GB of RAM.

I would really like to find some help on how to enable multicore/multiprocessor support with my Windows on Mac setup. Please respond if you know how to fix this!!!!!
