I am fairly new to Ableton Live 6 and have recently purchased an Evolution UC-33e Midi Controller and a M-Audio Fast Track Pro.
I need help in setting up the hardware. I have my decks and Vestax Mixer which I want to be able to connect up to the new equipment.
Basically I want to have my Evolution Mixer going through one of the channels on my Vestax so that I can mix Ableton and Vinyl together.
I have noticed that the UC-33e only has a midi output and USB and doesn't have any RCA outputs whereas my Mixer has RCA inputs for it's channels.
How do I connect the UC-33e to my Vestax mixer?
At the moment I have both the UC-33e and the Fast Track pro connected to my laptop via USB. I am using the Fast Track Pro to allow me to cue the channels in Ableton and I am using the UC-33e to control Ableton.
Do I need to connect the Midi Out on the UC-33e to the Midi In on the Fast Track Pro and then the Fast Track Pro to the Vestax Mixer?
Do I simply need to connect the Fast Track Pro to the Vestax Mixer and I will be able to hear the output from Ableton in my through the Vestax?
I know I probably sound stupid here but I am stuck. Any help would be brilliant.
