Re: Buy Live 6 With EIC?
I bought the box partly for the EIC and partly for the printed manual. As someone who was only starting out with software-based music, I wanted some sounds to play about with - hence going for the EIC. Also as a newbie I wanted a printed manual, which I pretty much read cover to cover and found invaluable. Sure I could have printed the PDF, and even bound it in work, but the Live manual was extremely well bound in a size convenient for reading, and having it to hand greatly improves my experience in using Live. Of course, for me it was only about 50UKP and I'd just got a bonus from work so that helped swing the decision1296 wrote:anyone buy Live 6 Box with EIC sound?do u feel great pay extra 100us?

EIC has just a few good sounds...I think it would be better to save the money and buy a more full featured soft synth oriented towards what you need....(i.e. kontakt, triology, etc).1296 wrote:anyone buy Live 6 Box with EIC sound?do u feel great pay extra 100us?
I like the rhodes sounds, the upright bass, and my favorite, the acoustic guitar strums!! The strums sound awesome but you can only strum a major or minor chord, and each one is its own patch, a major pain in the ass, but they sound so money! The string sounds are very weak IMHO.
