Fast Track Pro Output

Post by cainullah » Tue May 08, 2007 11:31 pm

Hi,

I have Ableton outputting to a Fast Track Pro. I then have the Fast Track Pro's 1+2 Outputs connected to my DJ Mixer.

I have the RCA plugs connected into Phono on the mixer but the sound is incredibly loud and distorted. Is this something I am doing wrong? Please help.

I have also tried plugging it into the Line-In on the mixer instead of the Phono but this gives me no control over the volume coming through.

I am using a Vestax PCV 275 mixer.

Thanks for any help.

please just dont use the phono input...use a line input and everything will be ok.
the distortion you noticed is from the phono preamp..dont know exactly what you mean with "no control" in a line channel.
are there no fader fore the line input?

Fast Track Pro Output

Thanks for the response.

I was a bit vague in describing "no control" in my previous post. If I connect the Fast Track Pro to the Line-In on my mixer I can hear everything correctly with no distortion and have full control over the eqs, kill switches etc... However I don't get any response from the master and cue meter. This means I am unable to see the levels of volume coming from the ableton channel before I mix it into my vinyl.

Is this normal for Line-In.

Thanks
