i don't use them all that much. every now and then i try a few to spark an idea but i noticed yesterday that they're all flipping gone. and just the live's native fx presets. how can i get them back

If you have recently updated then you have to copy them from the earlyer versions folder.

i have updated quite a few weeks ago... anyway, where are the presets stored?
