Assignin keyboard for samples
Assignin keyboard for samples
Is it possible to assign more than 8 different samples to keyboard similar as in Impulse?
In impulse there is place for 8 samples, but if I wanted to sample all my percussions and then save it as a percussion set "Topey´s percussions", how could I make it? Is it possible with Live 5.2 or am I forced to buy some software or even hardware for obtaining it?

Thanks !longjohns wrote:options:
map clips to your keyboard
or
use multiple impulses on different tracks (w midi plugs to transpose the keys)
I could not figure out how to use mapping for this purpose, so I used multiple impulses.
It just requires bit more working and thinking to get same result as it was if there was more sample slots.
When you enter MIDI mapping mode, the entire session grid can be mapped to MIDI notes. Therefore you could put all your drum clips on tracks in the Session view, and map them to MIDI notes on your keyboard. There are of course pros and cons to each way of doing thistopey wrote:

OK, Now I see. In some situation this method might be very usefull. Not when creating a percussion midi track, but for examle when usings live + mac + keyboard as an instrument in live performance.longjohns wrote: When you enter MIDI mapping mode, the entire session grid can be mapped to MIDI notes.
