when penciling notes dont want it to sound at maximum veloc

when drawing notes in im tired of it penciling in at the maximium velocity at 127 or when im auditioning notes on the piano roll is there a way i can set a desired velocity when I pencil in notes??

yea surfer, just hold down alt, adjust the velocity and every note you draw in after that will follow that same velocity.

I was confused by this... You adjust the velocity by holding down alt while dragging down on the note with the mouse (not the velocity bars), then subsequent notes are the same level. I kept playing with the velocity lines and the alt button feeling really dumb.

norrinradd - the ctrl-a feature also works to select all notes, or you can drag select notes and tweak groups, or SHIFT click to pick out notes, all the usual graphical editing type stuff, handy. FWIW.
