Live under Vista

I run Ableton 6,06 under Vista
I usually get some interruptions in audio while I'm playing live as DJ.
Just half second sometimes... but It's a very annoying situation. No way to fix it.
I use Vista premium, an Indigo I/O (with latest driver) on a recent Toshiba Satellite.
Unfortunately I think the problem originates from Vista (the worst operative system ever made by microsoft) or from Ableton.
I've been using windows for professional audio applications without problems since the '95. XP also worked perfectly... but Vista is a finger in the ass.
I'm in a really bad situation now. I don't like the idea to get in Mac...
