Please add high quality granular timestretching like in Prosoniq Timefactory or Izotope Radius. The simple granular modes and the spectral mode are often unusable on complex material.

The complex algo is the only one that the Abe's didn't do themselves.
Complex is actually Elastique 'classic' by Zplane. Also known as "elastique efficient" .
Anything called 'classic' is never going to be the top of the line product, true enough Zplane do a 'pro' version which is still frequency windowing (not time), but is good with transients
you can try out a little app on their site to demo the comparison as I recall. I did it a while back and it sounded good to me.
'Pro' licenses includes classic (which you are all now familiar with) , soloist ... which is like melodyne as I recall (follow the link), and the new 'pro' freq-windowed transient friendly stretch.
As you can tell - I am hoping that Ableton license 'pro' for L7. for those of us with relatively modern CPUs it would be pretty cool.

I think the first thing that needs to be addressed with 'complex' timestretching are the audio problems that can come with it
The "Ableton Glitch" errors and CPU spikes etc are often traced back to use of the current complex mode algorithm ..
Sometimes when the modes are switched to beats or repitch these problems lessen or even go completely away
So - its buggy. Should be changed or fixed, no?
Also:
I rely on complex mode for DJ work and the better the algorithm, the farther we can modify the tracks in pitch / BPM without external plugs to compensate

It may seem strange to some, the request for a feature which in itself is the very essence of Live. However, having used Pitch'n'Time 2 within Pro Tools, for example, there are occasions where this level of high quality stretching is necessary, where preserving the quality of the original sound is essential.
Also, as in the aforementioned plug-in, the ability to link the pitch to time, where you can achieve the 'turntable-turned-off-and-allowed-to-slow-down-naturally' effect.

Well, you can't put in markers and stretch and mold sounds like a piece of dough, but I've been able to stretch a 2 minute track to around 4 centuries, with amazingly good sound quality.

There are three modes:
The "Stretch" mode - may stretch up to 10,000 times
The "HyperStretch" mode - may stretch up to 1,000,000,000 times
The "Shorten" mode - it reduces the length of the sound
