Some people should die. That's just unconscious knowledge.

Falwell is responsible for the joining of church and state in the US for well over 20 years. That notion is responsible for DIVIDING the citizens of the US, it's responsible for hate, it's responsible for A MAJORITY of the BAD traits of modern US culture. The man had to be removed from power. The world is better off without him. I'm glad he died naturally (he had a heart?!) if someone had killed him he'd be a martyr.
I am glad he's dead, he ruined thousands of lives and he fucked up my country. I hope now his followers (whom I completely disagree with but can get along with) can elevate themselves to higher ground and leave Falwell's 'Old Time Religion' in the past and work towards a less fractured political/social/religious atmosphere in the US.
Yeah, being a leader of a 24,000 member church he started, a christian university, a christian radio station, a christian candidate for president. You're not a christian yet you're imposing your standards of chrisitanity on him?? You're in serious denial. I understand, they scare me too.
In reality this thread is fueled by a few low posters who are too pussy to use their real logins, or it's the same person. lmfoa at the whiners of death, I'm supposed to be the overly PC whiner. Get over it, death is a natural event. When I die I hope there are people who will dance on my grave, to have enemies on this scale is to have done something in life, I hope Falwell's grandchildren dance on my grave, I hope I get the chance to piss them off that bad.
The only good thing of all this is b0unce's law. 5 pages and it's all scratching and hair pulling up in here.

Did Falwell use Live or make trance? No, but I think it's a safe bet you can trace raves being shut down back to him, not all of them, but that's his flavor of oppression.

What Cuba thread? A high post count doesn't mean shit but a 14 post count being an OT douche_bag is bullshit. Go away.RT wrote:this thread is terrible. many of you are political hypocrites. you pretend to care about human beings in the Cuba thread then you have a party at the death of this human being. no matter what t his politics or what he did death does not deserve a party even if you hated him if you really care about people.
What's pathetic is you have 50 posts since 2004 and this is all you have to say?TomTom wrote:You know what's pathetic? I knew that I could come to this forum and find this thread. Anymore this forum is no different from all of the other rant and run-your-mouth blog sites.

I notice a lot of people jumping on christians mainly because they are christians.Johnisfaster wrote: yup yup. too many people in this world think "hate is a terrible thing... but it's ok to hate someone if they are a christian or something."
Personally I'm not a Christian myself, but I have no problem with Christians.

no fucking way!! Did you actually mention Live or music in one of your posts.jackjack wrote:We can only hope. Why Ableton does just simply make an off-topic forum is unkown. Probably the same reason they don't put a reverse button in impulse.Pantytec wrote:

Dude, stfu and contribute to on-topic shit, or use your real name in this bullshit. There is something to be said about having a healthy on-topic to off-topic ratio, if everyone was like you this forum would be a shit resource.

Wow man, you missed a lot of significant history of your own country. You should read up, this man was central to the tone of US politics in the last 20 years, major player.djadonis206 wrote:damn, y'all being mean to each other...
I didn't follow Jerry enough to really know what was so good or bad about him - he never did anything to me though

goodness, late to THIS party
When I was about 14/15, there was some public channel he was on and here was the message in a nutshell.....highly paraphrased.....
"I just rushed here in my private jet, limo to my personal studio here in lynchberg to inform you that we have almost won the battle against evil. If you've just send your checks for $1000.00 or more"...
That's all I needed to hear. Never could understand why these phony "of god" dudes could/can get away with that........

He basically got Reagan elected, who then became the spirit and embodiment of the Neo-Con movement, which has subsequently been instrumental in GWB's election and re-election.djadonis206 wrote: I didn't follow Jerry enough to really know what was so good or bad about him - he never did anything to me though
A lot of the mess we're in today is the direct result of his Moral Majority political movement, and their voting and lobbying power. Depending on how you look at it, if you're at all dissatisfied with where our country's at politically right now, then he's absolutely affected you!

As did I...I bet that was a good one!b0unce wrote:...he must have missed that episode of southpark
South Park has been consistently funny for what, ten years now or something? I hardly ever catch it, but everytime I do I laugh my ass off. The recent one parodying 300 (and making light of the Mexican immigrants) was brilliant imo.
but I digress...
