Could not decode error

I am receiving the error "... could not be decoded using DirectShow (2147220843)" on both Windows XP SP2 and Vista.

It was working fine a few days ago but now hardly any tracks work, generally getting more sucess with files that have already been warped.

After reading the forum i tried installing quick time but still get the same error

Could the problem be that i have installed a 2nd sound card? altho this isn't the one being used by ableton...

I think i found my problem.... pretty obvious really...

a lot of my MP3 files were corrupt, therefore no kind of amazin program is going to decode them.

Good job i still have them on the old harddrive!! :)
